The purpose of the role is to promote health, wellness and fitness programs to CFA members. You will be involved in implementing health assessments, fitness testing, exercise prescription, injury screening and injury prevention programs at a variety of locations throughout Victoria.Additional responsibilities include providing information, instruction and counselling to assist firefighters in achieving optimal conditioning and providing administrative support to various Health Services programs.ABOUT YOU
  • Registered Nurse, Allied Health Professional or equivalent
  • Able to provide clinical health assessments and interpret and explain results
  • Able to safely and effectively communicate and implement health and fitness programs
  • Level 2 First Aid accreditation
  • Able to work independently, with minimal supervision and resolve straightforward issues
  • Able to identify sensitive and confidential issues and respond accordingly
  • Well-developed communication skills and ability to liaise and present effectively to all levels of CFA staff, volunteers, external representatives and members of the public
