You will be an enthusiastic and dedicated clinician with excellent experience working with people with learning disabilities. You will be able to demonstrate a strong track record in ensuring the delivery of high quality, effective and personalised services to meet the needs of people with learning disabilities.
A commitment to supporting effective team working, with an excellent value base will be crucial to your success in this role. You should be self-motivated with excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritize your workload.
A key strength will be your ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with the people we support and their families/carers, our staff teams, the multi-disciplinary team and other wider stakeholders.
You will understand that service users and their carers are our number one focus and will want to work to provide the best level of care possible.
The post holder will work as Health Team Lead for Slough CTPLD. Primarily you will support the Slough CTPLD team, however there may be occasions when you will be required to provide trust wide cover which may involve the need to travel across Berkshire on occasion.
The successful candidate will continue to develop Slough Health CTPLD to ensure the provision of specialist psychological and behavioural assessments of people referred to the Community services. Strong clinical skills will support determining the correct care pathways, whilst contributing to assessment and treatment options with your own discipline related training, to over all care and team risk management, promoting least restrictive options.
Excellent communication skills that must be adaptable to support engagement with clients and carers accessing our service, the multi-disciplinary team and representation to external agencies and services.
This role requires continued personal development and training, empowering the team to continue with their learning, development, and supervision.
A good working knowledge of legislation, organisational policies and trust expectations is required. Competency in auditing and service development, working closely with the service manager for assurance in service efficiency and general day-to-day management of team sickness, annual leave and ensuring team well being and stability will be pivotal to this role.
