Job Description
This full-time position falls under the SEWB department and offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the community services sector. As the TTA Project Officer.

*DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:*

  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
  • Demonstrated understanding of social and emotional Well-being (SEWB) issues affecting Indigenous populations
  • Proven ability to coordinate and deliver community-based projects
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Knowledge of relevant government policies and funding requirements for community services
  • Proficiency in report writing and data analysis
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Understanding of cultural protocols and willingness to work respectfully within an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation
  • Relevant qualifications in community development, social work, or a related field

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects within the SEWB department.
  • Providing comprehensive project management support, including coordinating meetings, preparing reports, and monitoring project timelines.
  • Assisting in the development and delivery of training programs and resources related to social and emotional well-being initiatives.
  • Contributing to the collection and analysis of data to measure project outcomes and inform future decision-making processes.
  • Supporting the communication efforts by preparing written materials, presentations, and other relevant documentation for both internal and external audiences.
  • Engaging with community members to ensure their participation in project activities and gather valuable feedback for continuous improvement.
