Description:

Join our Healthcare Assistant Teams for our Urgent, Emergency Care Department.
Emergency Department
Our Emergency Department provides ready access for emergency care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and provides clinical services to treat patients presenting with a wide range of problems. Patients in all age groups can either present as an emergency or urgently, from life threatening conditions to minor injury and illness.
Medical Assessment Unit
Ward MAU is a 25 bed assessment unit with a dedicated seated assessment area. This is an exciting, fast paced and challenging ward to work on, with a fantastic multi-disciplinary team. We receive our patients from the Emergency department when they need further review and admission.
Medical Short Stay Unit
Ward MSSU is a 31 bed medical short stay ward. This is an exciting, fast paced and challenging ward to work on. We receive our patients from MAU and the Emergency department when they are in need of a short stay in hospital. A necessity for this role is to have a very caring and professional nature.

All the roles are permanent and offered on a full-time and part-time basis. Flexible working opportunities would be considered where possible.

Typical shift patterns are 07:00 - 19:30 and 19:00 - 07:30, across all seven days of the week (including bank holidays).
Your daily duties will be performed under the kind supervision of our registered staff. The main duties may include:
Personal care, food, personal hygiene and overall reassurance, comfort, and safety.
Help patients move around.
Learn about individuals’ specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.
Maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable clinical environment to live and work in.
Communicate to patients and their families.
Manage stock levels for linen and other supplies.
When your tasks prove to be challenging, our Wellbeing team will be there to support you as well as our in-house physiotherapy services.
