QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of HCC fraud and abuse laws; anti-bribery/anti-corruption laws (such as FCPA), Industry Codes, state requirements, and other relevant and applicable company policies is required.

  • Knowledge of Trade laws, Industry Codes, state requirements, and other relevant and applicable company policies is a plus.
  • Broad business experience and a proven ability to influence business decisions and business partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and trends and communicate complex information to all levels of the company required.
  • Experience working with the governmental regulatory bodies and managing HCC company policies is preferred.
  • Qualified candidates will have an engaging and personable demeanor; be self-directed, detail-oriented and motivated; demonstrate a high level of accountability, leadership, and decisiveness and the ability to prioritize, and execute on multiple and frequently changing priorities.
  • Experience managing HCC company policies is preferred
  • Experience working as an HCC or GCC Officer or Manager is preferred.
  • Experience developing and implementing one or more elements of a compliance program in accordance with an organization’s risk profile is preferred.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment to deliver solutions which drive compliant growth.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, program management skills, and analytical/process skills
  • Proven track record as a self-starter with ability to manage complexity and deliver results.
  • English and Spanish language proficiency are mandatory.
  • CCEP accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities:

The HCC Senior Manager will be responsible for collaborating with business partners and providing strategic guidance on projects, initiatives, processes and activities for Supply Chain/Trade and Enterprise Functions including but not limited to Supply Chain/Trade, Global Brand Protection, Worldwide Global Security, Government Affairs & Policies in Costa Rica (Epsilon Program), that have HCC and trade compliance-related implications. The HCC Senior Manager will provide direction and oversight of the HCC and Trade Compliance Programs to ensure the business in Supply Chain/Trade and other Functions in Costa Rica (Epsilon Program) integrates HCC, trade compliance, and corporate integrity principles into strategic plans and tactics.

You will be responsible for :

  • Responsible for ensuring business activities comply with HCC/HCBI Guide, laws, regulations, industry standards, and company policies related but not limited to:

o Interactions with health care professionals/organizations and/or government officials/entities.
o Providing guidance and training to business partners on relevant laws and regulations as applicable
o Reviewing and approving business activities, initiatives and funding requests that involve health care compliance, ethical or trade risks to facilitate compliant growth, support ethical decision-making, and ensure compliance with HCBIG, policies, procedures, industry standards, and applicable laws.
o Providing review of interactions with third party intermediaries (TPIs); providing advice to the business on proposed business models associated with TPIs and in consultation with the HCCO Director, retention decisions related to TPIs that have heightened risk factors including maintaining active lines of communications with applicable management and HCC teams related to such decisions.

o Transactional and health care compliance reporting

  • Supports the Health Care Compliance (HCC) program for Supply Chain Epsilon Project to ensure implementation of the compliance program, that business practices and activities are in compliance with related J&J internal guidelines, local laws and regulations and anti-corruption laws including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, reviewing business activities, initiatives, and funding requests.
  • Acts as a strategic partner for management and coach in relation to the Epsilon Project, ensuring that a culture of compliance is a natural element integrated into daily business operations.
  • Identifying potential HCC and trade risks associated with business activities and ensuring involvement of appropriate individuals within HCC, Privacy, Legal, Trade Controls to provide appropriate guidance.
  • Perform risk assessment mitigation process and advise Business Management of potential compliance risk areas and recommended action plans.
  • Ensure accountability for compliance through risk assessment, problem identification, oversight & monitoring, investigation and follow-ups within relevant HCC processes and systems (e.g., MAPs, RAMI, HIGHBOND, etc.)
  • In consultation with the HCCO Director/Sr. Director, Human Resources, and the Law Department, responsible for ensuring there is a mechanism in place for appropriately disciplining instances of non-compliance and ensuring consistency in the application of disciplinary action.
  • Provide input into Quarterly Risk Reviews with key stakeholders.
  • Preparation of presentations for Senior Business Leaders, Compliance Committees, and others as needed.
