This is an exciting opportunity to join HEIW on a secondment or fixed term basis to support the development of Service Transformation within Healthcare Science in NHS Wales.
Th is is for 0.2 whole-time equivalent post offered on a part time, flexible basis to be agreed. The post is open to professionals across Healthcare Science in clinical or education roles currently. Knowledge of physical sciences are preferable. Applications will also be considered for those in Workforce Transformation roles without a Healthcare Science background.
The postholder will work alongside the Programme Manager for Healthcare Science and Associate Director for Workforce Transformation, as well as with established HEIW functions. Working as part of a small team and taking a leading role in the Healthcare Science Working Group, the postholder will support developments towards Healthcare Science Transformation. The postholder will be responsible for supporting the ambitions of A Healthier Wales and the Healthcare Science in NHS Wales: Looking Forward Framework.
This is a key role within the HEIW Nurse & Health Professional Education Directorate and the HEIW-managed national Healthcare Science Programme. The role encompasses leadership, strategic planning, and management of key aspects of healthcare science transformation. As such the postholder will be required to work in a matrix style management arrangement supporting the Head of Healthcare Science Transformation as well as working alongside colleagues from within the Nurse and Health Professional Education Directorate and other professional leads.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
