Responsibilities:

In this role you will:

  • Develop and maintain a variety of software products while working in close collaboration with our product manager, business analysts and support team.
  • Provide technical input, expertise, and guidance to the wider stakeholder group.
  • Ensure adherence to software engineering quality practices.
  • Maintain development practices across all development activities as per the agreed SDLC.
  • Be involved with a range of development services, including requirements analysis, design, and development of relevant database/software products.
  • Help build our development capability, working closely with our product team, business analysts and architects to help set the direction and standards used across the team

To be considered for this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Five or more years of software analysis, design, and programming experience.
  • Experience working within a development environment that adheres to proven agile development methodologies, standards, and technologies.
  • Hands-on and current database development experience including complex scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and views to support front end applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of a broad range of software development activities including integration, packaging, and deployment.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously but also support and actively contribute to team collaboration.
  • Demonstrated experience with Java Development, modern JavaScript framework, GIT technologies and Dev Ops
  • Experience using Agile Methodologies
  • Experience with cloud technologies, ideally AWS but Azure also suitable, SQL database experience, preferably Oracle, but SQL Server also suitable and experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET framework are all desirable.
  • Experience with test automation, Intersystems Caché, Linux development and Infrastructure as code are also desirable
