JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Heavy Duty Mechanic. This role is for mechanical technicians who have knowledge of material handling equipment which includes forklifts, Empty container handlers, Reach stackers, etc.

• Minimum Qualification: High School (S.S.C.E)
• Experience Level: Mid level
• Experience Length: 3 years

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of High School Diploma
• 3 years of proven work experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic.
• Understanding of computer testing technologies.
• Ability to lift heavy machinery.
• Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment.
• Ability to use basic computer applications to write technical reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on mechanical equipment, including Forklifts, Empty container handlers, Reach stackers, and other material handling systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, making necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
• Install, assemble, and test new equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment logs.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and standards, continuously promoting a culture of safety.
• Participate in safety training programs and initiatives, encouraging team members to prioritize safety in their daily activities.
• Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
