Description:

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of a maintenance department and the supervision of a team responsible for the preventive maintenance and repair of equipment. Ensure all repairs and/or maintenance to equipment is performed in accordance with Company safety and compliance standards

Job Description / Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily planning and scheduling of all repair work to optimize productivity. Follow up on repairs being made, perform repairs as needed and appraise performance of shop personnel.
  • Supervise, coach, train, evaluate employee performance or behavior; provide input into hiring, disciplinary action, terminations, compensation, and promotion decisions
  • Conduct daily shop huddles
  • Perform inspections of outside repairs to ensure all work was properly completed in accordance with the Company’s safety and compliance procedures, follow up where appropriate
  • Plan and schedule repairs in Hippo CMMS planner and procure all parts for a successful plan.
  • Analyze the quality and effectiveness of the work performed
  • Assist with an inventory control system to ensure necessary equipment and part levels are maintained and purchases are within budget
  • Update and submit required reports in a timely manner
  • Manage related administrative matters for the team, including payroll, employee records, records of all preventive and corrective maintenance performed, recording of all information into Company maintenance software
  • Maintain open communication with other departments and leadership to ensure fluid and effective operations
  • Introduce departmental goals and performance objectives established by District and Corporate leadership
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the maintenance shops through regular inspections and preventive maintenance programs
  • Conduct periodic safety meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among all employees and promote morale, productivity, and efficiency
  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and

Competencies:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • One (1) or more years of lead technician or supervisory experience
  • Microsoft Office experience

  • Work utilizing personal protective equipment, including hearing protection, safety-toed boot, gloves, reflective vest, hearing and eye protection, hard hat, etc. Position is full-time Work Environment The Maintenance Supervisor may work in various weather conditions. May be exposed to unpleasant sights and smells.
