Description:
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
Our client is looking for a Heavy Truck Diesel Technician to join their team who provides Transport solutions that are custom built for New Zealand conditions. They are a 100% New Zealand-owned and operated business with 25+ years of experience.
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Perform all general repairs to heavy road transport trucks and trailers, including wiring faults, brake repairs to industry standard, air systems, suspension, and driveline repairs.
- Perform DAF engine overhauls both in frame and block removed.
- Perform diagnostics using Davie diagnostics computer and DAF Rapido system.
- Cummins, DAF and Caterpillar engine servicing and repair
- Assist with the on tools direction and technical training of apprentices when required
THIS ROLE WILL SUIT SOMEONE WITH ALL OR SOME FOLLOWING BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE/QUALITIES:
- Trade qualified technician with a minimum of five years experience
