Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and qualified High Intensity Psychotherapeutic Counsellor to join our team at Inclusion Thurrock!
This post requires accreditation with BACP (or equivalent) and PCE-CfD qualification to be paid at Band 7. This post can also be a Band 6 training post; we will provide the PCE-CfD training and upon successful completion, the post will be up banded to Band 7.
The post holder will be part of an NHS Talking Therapies service and will provide high intensity interventions using approved psychotherapeutic modalities. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE-CfD), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Couples Therapy for Depression (CTfD), and Behavioural Couples Therapy (BCT) as recommended by NICE.
The post holder will work with clients who have a range of difficulties including depression and anxiety disorders for which the NHS TALKING THERAPIES modality is demonstrated to be clinically effective.
The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities and equality of access to treatment.
The post holder will exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment and treatment of clients in line with the service and adhere to an agreed activity contract relating to the number of client contacts offered, and clinical sessions carried out per week in order to minimise waiting times and support accessible and convenient treatment delivery.
You will assess and integrate issues surrounding work and employment into the overall therapy process, carrying out clinical audits of service performance, including service user surveys and evaluations, and help to collate and disseminate the results for feedback.
You will provide an advisory service on matters related to the practice and delivery of NHS TALKING THERAPIES approved psychotherapeutic interventions to individuals/groups/committees across the mental health network (trust, primary care networks and complex care colleagues and voluntary agencies).

Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service
Assess clients for suitability for psychological interventions
Formulate, implement and evaluate therapy programmes for clients.
Carry out clinical audits of service performance, including service user surveys and evaluations, and help to collate and disseminate the results for feedback.
Educate and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary, conveying psychological formulations with sensitivity in easily understood language.
Liaise with other health and social care staff from a range of agencies in the care provided clients
