POSITION

We are currently seeking to recruit a Fixed Income Credit Analyst (Analyst) to join our Credit Research team in London. This individual will focus on European credits, and will be responsible for following several industries in the High Yield and Bank Loan markets, with a core focus on Telecoms and Cable. In this role, they will perform intensive fundamental credit analysis, and will formulate and effectively communicate investment recommendations that add value to client portfolios. As an active member of the High Yield & Bank Loan team, the Analyst will be fully involved in the investment process, and will be expected to provide investment recommendations which add value to client portfolios, as well as to help shape portfolio management decisions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for investing, specific experience and interest in credit markets, will embrace fiduciary responsibilities, and will possess a flexible mindset with the desire to learn/grow in a team setting. In addition, they will be expected to interact and collaborate regularly with other investment professionals at the firm, including other Analysts in Fixed Income, Portfolio Managers, Traders, Macro Analysts, ESG Analysts, and Equity Analysts.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Investment acumen and passion – we are seeking a Credit Analyst who is passionate about markets, research, and investing in fixed income. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a quantitative orientation. Additionally, the ability to make investment decisions which are supported by rigorous analysis, often with incomplete information, and communicated with strong conviction, is required. Experience of analyzing securities across the capital structure would be advantageous.
Superior collaboration and influencing skills – the successful candidate will enjoy contributing to a highly collaborative investment environment, and will embrace the benefits of overlapping lines of idea generation. They will build strong, trusting relationships internally with colleagues, and externally with company management teams. The ability to provide a point of view and challenge the status quo is critical, as is the humility to admit mistakes, and a desire to learn from others. The Analyst must recognize the benefits of diverse perspectives. The ability to communicate (both verbally and in writing) action-oriented investment recommendations clearly is important, as is the ability and willingness to contribute to a broad, open investment dialogue.
Intellectual curiosity, capacity for differentiated thinking, and a growth mindset – the flexibility and openness to continue learning, evolving and growing as an investor is critical. The Analyst will have a global perspective, and a creative approach for thinking about innovation, and the evolution of investing.
