Description:

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, innovative band 7 Highly Specialist Cardiac Physiologist with an interest in echocardiography . To independently perform and report transthoracic echocardiograms on a wide range on inpatients and outpatients.
Triaging patient requests and prioritising workload appropriately.
Training and supervising student echocardiographers and cardiology registrars
Assist in complex echocardiography procedures, such as stress echo, TOE, contrast and bubble studies.
In May 2023, it was announced that Airedale General Hospital has secured a place on the New Hospital Programme. This is an exciting opportunity for the Trust to work with hospital planning experts to configure and co-locate services to not only reflect the current needs of our population, but also looking to future needs and reflecting potential future developments in clinical care and technology. It is predicted the new hospital build will be ready by 2030.

The department supports continuing professional development with opportunities and support for your future learning from post graduate courses to modality specific conferences and workshops . The trust has a close relationship with the University of Leeds, supporting practical training for both cardiac physiologists and junior doctors.
This role is a permanent, full-time post with opportunity to flex those hours within the working week.
Independently perform and report echocardiograms in a timely manner on a wide range of inpatients and outpatients.
Assist in complex echocardiography procedures, such as stress echo, TOE, contrast and bubble studies.
Undertake a number of cardiac diagnostic tests where necessary, including holter monitoring and analysis, exercise tolerance testing and ECGs.
Participate in weekly MDT meetings and discuss case studies where relevant.
Actively participate in audit and peer review
