We are seeking for an enthusiastic and confident Clinical/Counselling Psychologist/CBT Therapist with a demonstrable track record of working within CAMHS, of providing high quality evidence-based interventions and service improvements.

The successful applicant will be joining a comprehensive and dynamic CAMHS service, located at Monks Park Health Centre, Wembley.
Your role will involve developing and delivering a wide range of interventions, projects and system changes with the aim of supporting children and young people with mental health/neurological issues or emotional disorders. In addition to providing comprehensive consultations, assessment, risk management and interventions for children and young people experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties, the post-holder will also clinically supervise band 7/students. Supervision training will be provided where required.
To join the multi-disciplinary CAMH Service in the delivery of mental health care to children and young people and their families, including involvement in the multi-disciplinary assessment pathway.
To provide specialist and evidence-based clinical psychology input, individually and group-based, to children and young people as well as their families.
To provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy including specialist assessments for neurodevelopmental concerns ( g. ASD and ADHD).
To offer advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to colleagues from all disciplines and to individuals external to CAMHS working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.
To support the psychological assessment and therapy provided by other professionals and to offer supervision as agreed per job plan.
To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the areas served by the services .
To work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of one’s psychological practice

The Brent CAMH Service is based at Monks Park Clinic, in Wembley. The team is well established and comprised of a large multi-disciplinary team of clinicians. We aim to provide an accessible, flexible and responsive local service for patients and professionals working with children in the area using the whole range of therapeutic interventions, including Psychoeducation, Upskilling, 2 nd & 3 rd wave Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, DBT therapy, Trauma Therapy Systemic and Family Therapy, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, multi-family work, Positive Behaviour Support and professional consultation/ multi-agency support. Brent CAMHS consists of four main sub-teams: the Emotional Disorders Team; the Neurodevelopmental Team; the Enhanced Treatment Team, and the Learning Disabilities (LD-CAMHS) Team. The post holder may be required to travel to other parts of the catchment area and / or wider service and trust as necessary, including working within the community ( e.g. schools). The service operates Monday to Friday 09.00 to 17:00 with some flexibility to work extended hours to meet service need.
