Description:

We are seeking a Highly Specialist Physiotherapist to join the well established Community Learning Disability Team in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan. The team is comprised of Community Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Psychology and Psychiatry and works in close partnership with local authority colleagues and partnership organisations.
To work as an autonomous practitioner within a robust framework of Clinical Governance to provide a high quality, effective, efficient and flexible physiotherapy service to people with a learning disability.
To manage a complex caseload using highly specialist physiotherapy knowledge, skills and assessment processes that are evidence based and focused on client centred principles that aim to improve health and well being.
To be the lead Physiotherapist within the Community Learning Disability Team delivering highly specialist clinical advice and interventions that improve / maintain the ability and minimise the disability of people with a learning disability through a combination of highly specialist assessment, diagnosis, formulation of treatment plans, intervention, evaluation, advice and teaching.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
