AVAILABLE POSTS TO FILL:

22.5 hours mainstream schools team (High School SLT lead) (3 days a week/1 wte)
15 hours mainstream schools team (Bilingualism SLT lead) (2 days a week/0.4 wte)
15 hours ICAN nurseries (2 days a week/0.4 wte)
22.5 hours Social Communication Assessment and Autism (SoCA) (3 days a week/0.6 wte)
7.5 hours EarlyBird Practitioner (1 day a week/0.2 wte)
Please note that applicants must be able to commit to working a minimum of 22.5 hours per week (3 days/0.6 wte) per week within the team.

For the SoCA role: you will be working within a Multidisciplinary team to assess
young children (of up to 6 years of age)
young people up to the age of 19 with an identified learning disability
who have social communication difficulties and/or differences, to identify if there is a medical diagnosis that may explain their difficulties (including Autism).
The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.

Responsibilities:

To lead on development of the SLT service within your specialism area: auditing projects, groups an development as well as co-ordinating and delivering training.
To work with Clinical Service Leads in the development of services and training packages .
To assess clients referred to the speech and language therapy service and to develop and implement specialist SLT treatment packages.
To work together with education staff in integrating therapy targets into all learning goals for children in your assigned setting.
To manage and prioritise a caseload independently with access to support and supervision as necessary.
To be based at Carmelita House
To provide services to: Children and their families to support with communication differences and difficulties in various community settings including mainstream schools, specialist nurseries and community clinic
