SHIFTMED REGISTERED NURSE (RN) REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have an active and unencumbered RN license in the state in which applying
- Must have at least 6 months of experience working in-home care, long-term care, or acute care
- Demonstrates a caring and compassionate nature
- Must possess supervisory skills
- Candidate must have a positive outlook and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 80 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet
- Must be able to assist with the transfer and positioning of patients
- CPR Certification
Responsibilities:
- The RN performs ongoing assessment and observation to ensure the optimum level of health for patients
- Administering and recording all medications accurately and according to policy and procedures
- Transcribe and implement written, verbal, and electronic physician orders
- The RN delegates responsibility to nurse aides and monitors the care delivered by the aides, ensuring that all care is being delivered to all the patients appropriately
- The RN will oversee and supervise the clinical operations for all nursing and clinical care activities, including oversight of staff
- Organizes patient care effectively
- Performs assessment data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on the age, the physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status of the patient
- Reviews and evaluates the data collected by healthcare professionals
- Develops a plan of care that prescribes nursing actions to achieve patient goals
- Identifies patient/family learning needs and implements appropriate processes from admission to discharge
- Must demonstrate thorough and complete verbal and written communication, and can collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
- Show consistent abilities in flexibility regarding patient assignments, floating, and related staffing issues
- Promotes a positive work environment by consistently demonstrating a positive attitude and teamwork
- The RN must be able to fulfill all responsibilities and duties of the job description as posted
