    About the role:
    We are looking for Home Care Workers to work on a casual, on call basis.
    Home Care Workers provide direct care and domestic assistance duties, as well as social support and transport as required for clients.

Based in the Barwon South region, in this role, you will:

  • Ensure that client’s rights, cultural, and other individual needs are incorporated in all aspects of care and daily living
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team, provide effective support to clients, recognise changes in clients’ conditions and escalate observations and concerns in accordance with Uniting AgeWell processes
  • Promote and participate in quality activities, and provide outstanding customer service maintaining friendly, supportive and professional relationships with clients, their relatives and friends
  • Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and expertise

About you:
You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents/clients, enhancing their self-esteem and empowering them to make choices.

This is the place for you if you have:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged or equivalent) OR Certificate IV in Disability
  • Experience in a home care setting is desirable
  • Available across mornings and afternoons
  • Comprehensive knowledge in community care with a commitment to high standards of care for clients and their families
  • Understanding of client directed care

Essentials for working in Aged Care

  • A current Working With Children’s Check, NDIS Check, flu and 3 covid-19 vaccinations
  • Have full Australian working rights and are able to pass a national police clearance
  • Are willing to work within the ethos of the Uniting Church
