Description:

Due to our continued growth, Komfort Kare is expanding! We are looking to speak with dedicated and passionate qualified Healthcare Workers interested in the role of Care Supervisor.
If you are a qualified care assistant and ready to step up to the role of supervisor in the North Dublin area.

Key requirements

  • 2 years experience in Health Care or Social Care setting
  • Full QQI Level 5
  • Full Clean driving license
  • Patient manual handling (will be provided)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Conduct care supervision visits
  • Conduct risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Oversee the accurate maintenance of supervision records.
  • Participate in care activities as part of the care supervision process.
  • Employ a best practice approach in the care of our clients.
  • Support and supervise our carers to deliver the best possible care.
  • Arrange to meet potential new clients and their families and carry out assessments to include care needs and health and safety risk assessment.
  • Devise care plans and work closely with the scheduling team to ensure the appropriate care team member is assigned to each client. Carry out 5 hours of shadow calls with new staff.
  • Cover sick leave, annual leave, or any emergency required by the scheduling team. ·
  • Conduct client-to-HCA introductions to clients (for High-dependency clients).
  • For more complex home care clients, provide instruction to the HCA team on the use of hoist, catheter, stoma, peg feeding, etc.
  • Through our Quality Assurance visits, ensure clients’ care plans are in line with their care needs, following up with family and healthcare professional team as appropriate.
  • Manage risks arising from care practice such as stoma/medication/PEG/complex cases.
  • Responsible for escalating risks to the National Clinical Lead where required.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with all clients through Quality Assurance (QA) visits, phone calls, and special events.
