Job description
P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking a Hose Assembly Technician to join their team on a full-time permanent basis based in Great Yarmouth.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • GCSE (Grade C or above) or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
  • BFPA – Hose Integrity, Inspection and Management (Desirable)
  • Engineering NVQ Level 3 (Desirable)

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Hose Assembly Technician is responsible for surveying, assembling, and testing hydraulic and
pneumatic hoses consistently to the highest industry standards in a safe and conscientious manner.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Hose Assembly Technician is responsible for surveying, assembling, and testing hydraulic and pneumatic hoses consistently to the highest industry standards in a safe and conscientious manner.
  • To manufacture and test hose assemblies for offshore and industrial use.
  • To be able to identify offshore and industrial hose ends and adaptors, using appropriate fittings to assembly hoses as per client specifications.
  • To be fully aware of component compatibility and be competent in the use and knowledge of our products.
  • To be fully conversant with pressure testing in accordance with current standards and procedures up to 25,000psig.
  • Maintain and monitor the integrity of consignment stock inventory and related records.
  • Ensure the quality management system and design procedures are followed, and standards are maintained.
  • Maintain and promote a professional and harmonious relationship with the company and with the customers’ representatives.
  • The ability to complete client work orders and time sheets correctly and to the satisfaction of the company, the client and the end user.
  • Detailed completion of project close out reports, documentation and certification (signed, dated and identified correctly for invoicing and for inclusion within certification books).
  • Timely submission to the supervisor or engineer.
  • Other duties within the general scope of the post and appropriate to the job function as may be required.
