We are hiring a Hotel Maintenance Technician dedicated to providing routine and preventative maintenance to protect the assets of The Westgate Hotel and to keep the hotel running smoothly and to ensure a safe, quality guest experience. Reports to: Chief Engineer Manager

Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:

  • Conduct facility inspections and direct general construction and the installation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical, mechanical, and architectural systems through the facility to ensure operations efficiency and safety.
  • Perform all preventative maintenance activities.
  • Maintain daily log , records of all work completed.
  • Operate snake, unclog drains repair faucets and other plumbing repairs.
  • Basic working knowledge of digital phones, switches, key systems and POS and WiFi devices.
  • Collaborate with leadership, team members and other departments to complete tasks to ensure guests satisfaction and operational reliability.
  • Routinely inspecting various elements of buildings and grounds, like elevators, fire alarms, security cameras and sprinkler systems.
  • Assist other departments by providing lateral service; perform all other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be able to work varied shifts.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • At least 1-2 years of maintenance experience required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with our guest training and Exemplify Guest service standards.
  • Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism when interacting with colleagues, customers, and vendors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Regularly works in both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Ability to move up to 100 lbs., with wheeled assistance.
  • Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting or lifting overhead 20-50 or more pounds.
  • Physical activities include walking, talking, standing, stooping, hearing, seeing, talking, bending, reaching, fingering, feeling, touching, writing, grasping, handling, stretching, balancing, pushing, pulling, reaching up and down, and remain stationary at times throughout work periods.
  • Considerable repetitive motion of hands, wrists, shoulders and back is required.
