We have an opening at Pinewood Lodge Resorts, a village of accommodation set in the picturesque Queenstown, New Zealand. With stunning views of the Remarkables, our three acre property is only minutes from the centre of Queenstown. Our property boasts 130 rooms for diverse groups, from backpackers to families and adventure seekers.
We are currently seeking a welcoming and enthusiastic Hotel Receptionist to join our Front Office Team. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding customer service skills and have previous experience in hotel front line roles, including knowledge of online booking systems. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate reporting of lodge accounts and maintaining the front office. We are looking for someone dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through the delivery of personal, courteous, and efficient service.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a front office environment essential
  • Experience with Hotel Operating systems advantageous
  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s licence
  • First Aid Certificate, highly regarde

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests on arrival, establish positive connections, and address guest concerns in a courteous and effective manner
  • Provide exceptional customer service, consistently delivering high levels of guest satisfaction
  • Managing phone queries and address questions from guests
  • Support the Front Office Manager and Duty Managers with lodge operations
  • Monitor reservation reports to ensure preparedness for varying occupancy levels
  • Process transactions while strictly adhering to security procedures
  • Assist guests with their luggage when needed
  • Maintain a clean and presentable reception area
  • Perform other clerical tasks such as word processing, data entry, filing, mail dispatch and photocopying
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excel as a team player with strong communication and prioritization abilities
  • Display a vibrant personality
  • Maintain excellent grooming and presentation standards
  • Precision-oriented, with a keen attention to detail, and excels in a high-pressure work environment
  • Flexibility to a work a variety of shifts over a 7 day a week roster and ability to accommodate busy seasonal periods

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a front office environment essential
  • Experience with Hotel Operating systems advantageous
  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s licence
  • First Aid Certificate, highly regarded

Salary & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rate: $26.10 to $28.18
  • Permanent, Full Time employment: 30hrs min – 50hrs max
