Description:

Hours Per Week: 37.5
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday 7.30am - 3.30pm (30 min unpaid break)
Applicants must be computer literate, have a good eye for detail and be able to lead, develop and motivate staff.Please note: Shift pattern is subject to change
Must be customer focused and be proactive in delivering continued improvements to the current service.
Have a good working knowledge and awareness of a broad range of catering practices and principles, including ordering, menu planning and costing along with having a real passion for food and service.
Preparation and serving of meals.
Financial acumen to manage budgets, forecasts and deliver reports.
Have proven experience of working in the food industry with supervisory skills.
Have a relevant vocational qualification at level 2 or above in hospitality and food production.
Ensure kitchen environment is clean, tidy & hazard free. Ensuring schedules for cleaning of equipment and kitchen are prepared, displayed and implemented.
Hold a current nationally recognised food hygiene certificate.
Enjoy learning and helping others to learn, supporting staff and students.
Be able to meet tight deadlines and have the ability to see tasks through to a successful conclusion.
Enjoy working as a member of a team and demonstrate a willingness to support others in the successful completion of tasks.
Be organised and have administration skills.
Supervise kitchen assistants.
Complete staffing rotas for kitchen ensuring adequate levels of staff are rostered on duty as needed to provide level of service required.
Ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements of food hygiene, storage and temperature control by following guidance in Food Safety Management System
