JOB SUMMARY:

Our VIP client based in Kuwait is looking for a highly experienced House Manager to coordinate the final stages of a new build property in terms of fixtures, fittings operational management, staffing and the ongoing management thereafter. This is unique opportunity where you will have a huge influence in formulating the inner workings of the home and utilise your wealth of experience making your own mark. The principal is passionate about wellbeing, very approachable and will be your primary point of contact throughout.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • The ideal candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate previous experience taking a lead role in setting up of large, high value properties from scratch for private clients
  • You will have strong experience managing large teams of staff ideally within a private household
  • Excellent people management skills and a unique ability to create a cohesive, diverse workforce
  • Ability to provide comprehensive training to staff an or train supervisory staff to maintain consistent standards throughout the house
  • Knowledge and experience of creating and implementing working policies and procedures to maintain the highest standards and consistency
  • Proven longevity in similar roles
  • Familiarity with middle eastern culture (experience in Kuwait or elsewhere in the middle east is a distinct advantage)
  • Excellent communicator able to liaise with stakeholders at all levels (French speaker would be a plus but not essential)

Responsibilities:

DUTIES:

As the House Manager you will be the key individual responsible for the day to day running of the new 2000 sq meter property, liaising with a Personal Assistant and the principal directly. The aim is to have a candidate join 6 months before the official completion date to give the successful candidate ample time to set up the following:

  • Policies, operating procedures and house manuals
  • Implementing preventative maintenance schedules
  • Establishing relationships with suppliers and service providers
  • Recruiting and training a team of staff (approximately 15+)
  • Working with the PA to create an efficient method of communication to ensure the home is always ready for the principal’s arrival
  • Planning and executing events taking place at the property
  • Ongoing management of the property in line with the client’s requirements ensuring standards are maintained
