Huntsman 7 is predominantly a Respiratory Ward. Huntsman 7 is part of the GRaDE care group (Gastro Respiratory and Diabetes Endocrinology. This post is initially a fixed term of 5 months but there is a possibility of extending within the Care group.
It is an exciting opportunity to really make a difference on a ward and contribute to providing a friendly, clean, safe and comfortable environment for the patients and ward staff
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and an ability to work within a team but also use own initiative.
Duties will include;
Ensure bed areas are clean and prepared for new patients
Care and cleaning of equipment
Cleaning and making beds
Care of patients lockers and bed areas
Assist patients with meal choices as directed by the Nurse in Charge
Assist with the setting of tables, serving of meals, cleaning crockery, replenishing water jugs

This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for the maximum period of 5 months. Where there is potential, the secondment/fixed term contract may finish early, or in the first instance, the secondment/fixed term contract may be extended due to the internal/external secondment of the substantive post holder. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust’s legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts and secondments in relation to the substantive post holder.
