Description:

If you love working across a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces – especially in a nature-filled poolside environment, this Public Area Supervisor role could be perfect for you. In conjunction with the Room Division Manager you will build a strong team that works well internally within the Housekeeping teams and externally with other departments. You will manage cleaning tasks and regularly check public areas and the presentation of the resort to ensure the appearance of the property meets the high standards required. You may also assist with the checking of rooms, houseperson duties and other jobs requested by Supervisors or Managers.
Your tasks include: Rostering, team management, training new team members, reporting any items that need ordering e.g. equipment, chemicals, amenities. Clean lobby area, library, first aid room and public restroom. Clean and maintain restaurants and conference spaces. Report any maintenance issues, setting periodic cleaning schedules across the resort. Daily checks that the public area team members are completing all checklists and tasks per our requirements and schedules.

This is a full time role working, Tues - Sat - 7.30am - 3.30pm
The successful candidate will have supervisory experience and a keen eye for detail, great organisational and time management skills, as this role requires you to work to a detailed job list and calendar while managing your team to ensure that nothing is missed or overlooked. You will enjoy working both indoors and outdoors and pride yourself on your ability to juggle multiple tasks and stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous Supervisor or Managerial experience in a similar role within a luxury 5 star hotel/resort environment
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate a customer focused team
  • Well presented with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to work to a jobs list and able to prioritise tasks
  • Strong organisational skills with a clear focus on quality and standards
  • Knowledge and understanding of chemical handling
  • Ability to communicate with guests and staff in a helpful and respectful manner
  • Experience with driving resort buggies and a current NSW drivers licence
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, weekends and public holidays
  • Experience with industrial cleaning equipment
