Description:

Hotel Arts Group is currently seeking a Full-Time Houseperson to work in our Housekeeping Department.

The role of the Houseperson is to maintain the public, employee, retail, and guest floor areas of the Hotel Arts Complex, so as to meet the needs and expectations of the guests and employees of Hotel Arts. As these are 2 separate positions, this employee will be trained in both areas and assigned as needed based on business levels.

The Houseperson does this by completing the following tasks:

  • Clean the public spaces of the Hotel Arts Complex as outlined on a task list on a daily basis. This includes the lobby, fitness centre, pool area, office areas, staff locker rooms, stairwells, backspaces and corridors, parkade, and exterior spaces.
  • Graffiti removal
  • Power washing awnings, front drive, and entrances
  • Carpet and upholstery cleaning as assigned
  • Reporting of all maintenance concerns
  • Maintain guest room hallways and service areas as outlined on a task list on a daily basis.
  • Vacuum guest room hallways as needed.
  • Collect linens in support of Room Attendants as needed.
  • Undertake special cleaning projects [e.g. guest room windows] as time and seasonal bookings allow.
  • Assist sorting and folding of laundry as needed
