Purpose and Scope:
To assist in supporting the facility staff through administration of Human Resources related documentation and payroll\time and attendance processes. Support for staffing the facility to required levels for direct labour and support staff, ensuring payroll accuracy, monitoring training and development requirements to ensure legal minimum requirements and operational required training are met and aiding in employee relations activities to maintain a positive work culture. Responsible for the ongoing support, implementation and maintenance of the human resources and related Stackpole safety, quality and environmental systems, and the timely and accurate maintenance\development of the payroll\time and attendance systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that the adherence to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, all Stackpole International policies and any other industry standards in all activities
  • Interaction with employees at all levels of the organization. Active engagement with employees in the work area\factory
  • Ensure privacy and respect of employee information is maintained
  • Accurate processing payroll utilizing time and attendance systems
  • Participate in recruitment and onboarding as required
  • Administration of training documentation
  • Pension and Benefits administration
  • Employee relations activities and initiatives
  • Provide information and feedback to temporary staffing agencies, recruiters, government agencies and benefits providers
  • Maintain internal/external relationships with vendors
  • Scheduling meetings and ordering food as necessary

Qualifications, Education And / or Experience:

  • Required to be a graduate of a post diploma program in Human Resources Management, or degree with HR Management option and be working towards or possess their CHRP designation
  • 1 to 2 years’ work experience in Human Resources
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment would be considered an asset
  • Previous payroll experience would be considered an asset
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must possess strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a demonstrated ability in problem solving, and responsiveness to customer needs
  • Highly organized, results and detail oriented
  • Able to complete multiple tasks concurrently
  • Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency
