Description:

ABOUT US

We’re on an exciting mission here at Whitworths – to help boost the nutrient intake of the nation, improving general health of families using the goodness found in our delicious products. We’re the only brand that gives a credibly nutritious boost to breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, baking and beyond.
There are obviously many other reasons to come and work with us, but the biggest reason is so that you have a job you love and a company you are proud to say you work for. You will receive a competitive salary, 33 days holiday, a workplace pension, and in addition, you’ll also have access to a number of family friendly, health and lifestyle benefits. Culturally, we believe strongly in investing in our people, developing them in role and developing their careers within Whitworths. Don’t just take our word for it, our people say the same, as demonstrated by our recent accreditation from Investors In People.

Responsibilities:

People are our greatest asset and the HR Team at Whitworths are looking for an HR Administrator to support us in the work we accomplish to deliver this ethos.
Working in HR is busy, and no day is the same. We are the touchpoint for anyone in the business, and of course also for anyone outside of the business that we are recruiting and onboarding. Whoever it is, we want them to know that Whitworths is a great place to work.
Your role starts with a welcome to anyone coming into the office or joining the company, either operating a 1st line/2nd line query resolution approach or taking our new hires through their onboarding and induction. Then its eyes on the internal as you update our HRIS and share important information with managers to help them manage their new starters.
There is the usual admin you would expect, correspondence to be created and filed, sharing information with payroll, keeping our organogram up to date, running reports and sharing insights, updating our electronic training files and monitoring our HR inbox. (Not an exhaustive list). We have a creative side too, with our onsite communications and posters, our booklets and our guides, and we are the owners of our employee engagement events and opportunities.
To succeed you need to be very organised, able to prioritise your work to meet customer expectations and SLA’s, diligently ensuring that the attention to detail is always there to produce error free work.
As a professional administrator, you may even have worked in HR in the past. Once you know the role, you will fly, working autonomously and with the broader team as we all pull together to ensure that the HR team at Whitworths delivers. Naturally you will be used to working with Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
With 21 working hours over the week, the hours (and some of the days – exception made for Mondays), can be flexed for the right candidate.
