THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an experienced HR Adviser to join the team in our Weipa operations supporting the leadership team with day-to-day generalist HR activities.
Rio Tinto Weipa is located 900km north-west of Cairns on the Gulf of Carpentaria and has been operating for over 50 years. Over the years, it has developed into a vibrant and diverse cultural hub of the Western Cape. • Managing employee relations matters and providing advice to customers with a focus on early intervention
• Driving change with a focus on continuous improvement and challenging the status quo
• Developing and embedding of HR procedures, systems, templates and reporting mechanisms
• Building Leader capability in HR systems and processes including cyclical processes
• Facilitating organisational change through to HR systems and processes
• Leading HR projects with exceptional attention to detail and out of the box thinking
