JOB DESCRIPTION

Overall purpose of the job:

  • To work with the business in the delivery of the HR strategy to meet organisational and HR objectives
  • Responsible for partnering with all areas of the business on a variety of HR issues
  • Act as trusted partner to Managers, providing professional, data led advice which is in line with People strategy.

Key responsibilities for this job:

  • Provision of professional HR advice and support to the business with an understanding of all local policies, procedures and employment legislation, and how these relate to the business
  • Ensure up to date knowledge of relevant Employment Law and Compliance issues
  • Support HRBP’s in advising to managers on ER issues including performance and behavior issues, ensuring matters are being dealt with promptly and recorded in the appropriate way
  • Assist in the content and communication of all local HR policies and procedures, ensuring they not only comply with legislation, but are also linked with the business objectives
  • Work closely with the HR Operations and the wider HR team to provide accurate and timely management information on a variety of HR elements
  • Responsible for end to end process for Probation, Maternity and Paternity, Sickness and other period of leave conversations.
  • Assist with HR projects
  • Assist when required to manage the HR System (PeopleHr) ensuring all data is accurate and updated
  • Administration of the annual staff review process
  • Administration of the annual policy review process
  • When required administer HR related correspondence with staff and external contacts, including contracts and reference letters
  • Conduct induction meetings with all new starters ensuring a smooth onboarding experience
  • Support the organisation and delivery of the monthly Company Induction programme
  • Assisting with ad-hoc projects as required

    Knowledge and experience required:

  • CIPD qualified

  • Good knowledge of UK employment law and experience of handling ER matters
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working within an administration or assistant role within an HR environment
  • Experience of working with a HRIS
  • Experience or knowledge of the link between HR and payroll
  • Flexible approach to work with the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to multitask and prioritise workload
  • Continuous improvement mindset
