Our client is currently recruiting for the permanent position of HR Advisor, based in Aberdeen

Responsibilities:

  • Establish strong relationships with managers and employees to ensure the delivery of a professional, value adding HR service.
  • Support with the annual HR cycle, including areas such as performance management and compensation and benefits, and identify improvements.
  • Provide offshore payroll input to our payroll team.
  • Administration of employee benefit schemes in conjunction with the Company’s benefit brokers.
  • Participate in the development of HR processes and policies and take an active role in embedding and communicating them across the business.
  • Support management with advice on the people management aspects of their team(s), providing advice on matters such as development and legislative background.
  • Management of long term and complex absence, liaising with the Company’s occupational health provider and scheduling medicals as required for offshore personnel.
  • Manage complex employee relations issues that may create significant risk to the organization.
  • Manage the Asset’s permanent offshore recruitment and selection process in order to fill vacancies on time and to optimally serve the internal client.
  • Liaise with recruitment agencies for the placement of temporary offshore personnel, ensuring they have the correct experience and mandatory training to fulfil the role.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date HR files within the HRIS and other business systems.
  • Attendance at bi-weekly offshore management / HR meetings.
  • Support with manpower budgeting and forecasting requests, ensuring safe manning levels are maintained for the asset.
  • Coordinate monthly headcount and statistics.
  • Support the HR Co-ordinator with offshore training and participate in offshore training audits.
  • Provide HR assistance to the Emergency response organisation, including participation in the HR on-call duty team.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable operational offshore HR advisory experience, preferably with experience in crew management including minimum manning and emergency response roles.
  • Degree in Human Resources discipline and/or CIPD qualified to Level 5 preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law, complex case management and offshore training requirements.
  • Knowledge and application of HR Systems and Metrics.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Effective negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to evaluate problems from differing viewpoint and recognize potential causes.
