As a HR Data Analyst, you will provide HR management information, data analysis, and insights to customers both within and outside of Sainsbury’s. You will use a range of statistical and quantitative analytical techniques to analyse people related business problems, presenting outputs in relevant, consumable formats that can be understood by a range of stakeholders.
You will display a natural curiosity in data, analytics, and related technologies alongside a keen eye for detail. Using these skills, you will identify areas for further investigation, and be a contributor to the scoping and build of proactive insight projects alongside regular reporting outputs that inform HR decisions in the Sainsbury’s organisation.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW AND SHOW?

A numerate background. A-level Mathematics (or equivalent) is preferable. You enjoy mathematics, statistics, or another analytical subject, or have analytical work experience
A passion for innovation in data analysis, analytics, and related technologies
Organised with ability to multi-task, prioritise and complete work quickly and to tight deadlines

Responsibilities:

Build Microstrategy products that query Snowflake data
Working with data engineers to create tables in Snowflake
Working with Microsoft products; Power Platform; Co-Pilot Studio; Azure; Office products in particular Excel, and PowerPoint.
Partnering with HR professionals to co-create, develop products and services
Take a consulting, customer-centric mindset. Collaborate with customers to understand their challenges, reporting / business requirements, and manage expectations on deliverables and timescales
Utilise statistical analytics techniques (predominantly in SQL, Python, Snowflake) to extract, interrogate and analyse data.
