Description:

THE FOLLOWING ARE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a similar role within a fast paced and highly administrative processed HR/Administrative/Superannuation function.
  • Third level qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant HRM, Business or other closely related discipline.
  • Awareness and understanding of current best practices and new developments in HR Management and Public Service Pension Schemes.
  • Proven working knowledge of Civil and Public Service HR/Employment Circulars, guidelines, and policies.
  • A proven track record of HR operation experience within the Public Service.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including an ability to engage and liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, building and maintaining healthy, positive, effective, and mutually respectful business relationships.

In addition, the following are requirements of the position:

  • Be willing to become a superannuation specialist in public sector pension administration by attending mandatory training sessions and workshops.
  • Must be capable and competent of fulfilling the role to a high standard.
  • An ability to determine priorities, be flexible and organise workloads under pressure in order to achieve tight deadlines.
  • Can act on own initiative in changing environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to lead a team and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • People Management.
  • Report writing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Supporting the HR Manager, the HR & Superannuation Specialist will be responsible for the complete pension lifecycle for all current and former NTPF staff including NTPF pensioners while supporting all HR related organisational and transactional duties. The HR & Superannuation Specialist will be a key team member delivering on important aspects of the NTPF’s Strategic Goal 5, to “create a strong, resilient and inclusive organisation where our people are empowered and our capabilities continually improved”.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Espouse NTPF values in all work activities – People First, Integrity, Collaboration, Innovation, Expertise, and Inclusion.
  • Engage in NTPF’s performance and development system and ensure the appropriate documentation is provided to the manager in a timely manner.
  • Performing all tasks necessary to ensure that the functions of the department are carried out and objectives set for the section are achieved in a timely and accurate manner.
