This role will provide efficient and professional HR support to the EMEA HR team, for both office and retail associates across the EMEA region. You will be responsible for managing HR administration tasks and maintaining associate records via Workday. New Balance is looking for a highly organised, proactive, and detail-orientated individual who can handle a fluctuating workload.
This role is based in our Warrington, UK office. We offer hybrid working and flexibility of working hours to accommodate for a healthy work-life balance. This role requires you to be in the office 3 days each week.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provide admin support in all HR areas: New starter process including creation of contracts, new starter forms, conducting background checks, reference checks and right-to-work checks. Ensuring successful and seamless induction and onboarding of new starters. Providing support for changes in process and managing employee offboarding
  • Maintain the HR System - Workday, keep Associate files 100% accurate, run HR reports using Workday, as needed including ad hoc checks to ensure data accuracy
  • Provide support to Talent Acquisition and Store Managers with recruitment activities, advertising vacancies, collation of applications, arranging interviews and assessment centres
  • Updating trackers, headcount and payroll documents/forms in response to changes
  • Archive personnel and recruitment files in line with legislation
  • Monitor sickness and absence trends, ensuring they are recorded efficiently, paperwork completed and returned, providing advice and guidance according to local laws
  • Co-ordinate training
  • Work collaboratively with the EMEA HR team, providing administrative support to the HR function escalating queries as and when required and support in relevant projects
  • Support office management with cover when required
  • Oversee swag for our new starters, ensuring product is always available and replenish when needed
  • Any other tasks to support the HR team as they arise

KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Previous HR Experience in a similar role and/or Relevant HR Qualification
  • An interest in HR operations and business
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Results driven - follows through to conclusion on all projects/commitments to agreed deadlines
  • Ability to use initiative and work independently and take ownership of your work
  • Ability to work with confidential information and in a confidential manner
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work at a fast pace
  • High level of attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
  • Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Experience in using Workday (HR System) would be preferable, but not essential
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel and willingness to develop to a more advanced level
