Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Assistant to join a well respected and dynamic HR team.
In this role, you’ll assist with HR matters, playing a key role in fostering a positive and productive workplace.
This role involves supporting various HR processes, including employee relations, change management, performance, and talent development. The HR Assistant will report to the HR Business Partner and will adopt a proactive stance to advance issues promptly, manage communications effectively, and assist our managers in nurturing their teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Educate employees and managers on company policies, procedures, and best practice to foster a positive work culture and ensure legal compliance.
  • Assist HR Business Partners by developing action plans based on the analysis of KPIs, reports, trends, patterns, and areas of concern to enhance performance in these areas.
  • Support the onboarding process for new starters
  • Oversee approvals in our HRIS (Workday) to meet crucial deadlines, such as payroll cut-offs.
  • Perform exit surveys and interviews with all departing employees and deliver regular insights to the team.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and liabilities in employee relations.
  • Provide assistance in various employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
  • Manage employee relations cases and change projects by drafting correspondence and organising evidence and consultation documents.
  • Support organizational changes, redundancy processes, and change implementation planning.
  • Maintain awareness of risks and legal constraints in HR processes and offer guidance and support to managers.
  • Coach and support junior managers in enhancing the effectiveness and performance of their teams.
    Qualifications
    The successful candidate will have experience in a HR assistant role. You’ll need to demonstrate a good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
    Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities are essential. You’ll be capable of managing confidential information discreetly.
    The candidate should exhibit strong problem-solving capabilities and the capacity to operate autonomously.
    Proficiency with MS Office Suite and HR software platforms is necessary.
    The successful candidate will ideally hold a CIPD qualification (or equivalent) or will be working towards.
