The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting lead HR Business Partner for the Frankfurt Office of Jefferies and its European branches (JEG) with a total population size of approximately 250 (with additional planned growth). The individual who fills this role will have responsibility for providing a proactive and high-quality HR service to all areas of the business, including Investment Banking, Fixed Income, Equities, Research and Corporate support functions.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Fluent verbal and written French and English language skills are required
  • German language skills are an additional asset
  • Experience having worked within a global organisation, preferably in Financial Services
  • Exposure across a broad HR remit, including involvement in resource planning, recruitment, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits and detailed collation and analysis of management information
  • Ideally, knowledge of French labour law
  • Good relationship building skills
  • The ability to work independently with a high-level of accuracy and attention to detail to meet deadlines is essential. Strong communication and quantitative skills are a prerequisite
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrate initiative and proactively contribute ideas, views and recommendations
  • A professional and adaptable approach and the ability to work with confidential and sensitive information and employee issues while using discretion

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting lead HR Business Partner for the Frankfurt Office of Jefferies and its European branches (JEG) with a total population size of approximately 250 (with additional planned growth). The individual who fills this role will have responsibility for providing a proactive and high-quality HR service to all areas of the business, including Investment Banking, Fixed Income, Equities, Research and Corporate support functions.
The role encompasses a strategic and operational dimension and will involve working closely with colleagues in London and New York to ensure a consistent service is provided to the business.

The incumbent will provide support to JEG HR Business Partner across the full range of HR disciplines as outlined below:

  • Employee Relations: Supporting the management of all HR issues (i.e. performance management, disciplinary processes, redundancies and grievances) in a sensitive and timely manner. Will work in conjunction with our internal legal team and divisional HR partners but will be expected to take the lead and drive processes to successful conclusion
  • Compensation: Advise the business as and when appropriate on year-end processes
  • Performance Management: Working closely with management and global HR team to ensure the goal setting, mid and year- end review process is managed effectively.
  • Diversity Equity and Inclusion: Working with the business and the Diversity Equity & Inclusion team to identify and implement local DEI strategy and activities
  • Recruitment: Liaising with the Jefferies campus and lateral recruiting team to support the recruitment process, gather intelligence relevant to the successful attraction and retention of all levels of talent, and providing support and advice to the business during the hiring process
  • Projects: Managing ad-hoc projects as required by either HR and/or the Senior Management team
  • Other: Assisting with on-time implementation of all corporate HR initiatives, tailored appropriately to local requirements/business requirements
