Description:

As a UPMC HR Business Partner you will undertake a broad range of HR-related responsibilities, working closely with our wider HR Business Partnering Team and reporting to our Head of Business Partnering. The HR Business Partner will conduct both administrative and strategic responsibilities. As a UPMC HR Business Partner you will be part of a highly motivated and dynamic Ireland HR team of talented professionals. As a HR Business Partner, you will be accountable for providing best in class HR supporting onboarding, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with business leaders and colleagues to create an environment of trust, dignity, and respect, where values and behaviours are aligned to UPMC values and behaviours.
  • Be a first point of contact for all HR related queries, providing superior customer service to all colleagues in line with employment law legislation and internal policies.
  • Work closely with managers to ensure probationary periods are managed effectively.
  • Administer benefits including time and attendance, benefits -pension ect
  • Liaise with payroll monthly on coordinating information for payroll notifications ensuring the payroll department is informed of any relevant changes throughout the employee life cycle.
  • Case management of internal employee relations matters where they arise.
  • Monitor absenteeism in conjunction with department managers ensure adherence to the absence management procedure and case management of the long-term absence procedure.
  • Manage occupational health reviews and referrals in line with company procedure.
  • Liaise with management on ensuring the performance management review cycle is implemented.
  • Ensure employee data is updated and maintained in line with GDPR requirements and respond to requests made under same
  • Ensure the delivery of an effective, efficient, and professional HR service
  • Ensure HR processes are applied and adhered to consistently and fairly.
  • Maintain an openness to feedback on your own performance and a commitment to implementing agreed performance/behavioural changes.
  • Carry out your work in keeping with UPMC Corporate Values and commit to the highest standards of personal behaviour in respect of Flexibility, Teamwork and Helpfulness towards colleagues, customers, and all with whom you make contact through your work.

  • Working with the administrators, ensuring HR systems are updated and maintained.
  • Assist managers to embed our internal policies and procedures consistently.
  • Mediation and facilitation of issue resolution

  • Assist with preparations of audits from external bodies.
