Job Description
As a HR Business Partner you work with Senior leadership to develop and implement effective HR policies and practices that will support the strategic growth of the business within the London and Newcastle office. You will also work as part of a wider HR Regional team aligning global business objectives.
The HRBP will work in partnership with key stakeholders across the business as well as having oversight of all people matters, engagement, enquiry resolution, ensuring the right people are in the right roles, learning and development, and priorities as determined by the senior leadership team. The HRBP must ensure the business remains compliant with employment legislation whilst minimising disputes, grievances and employment tribunals.
The role involves a number of activities that work to improve our Employee Value Proposition (EVP) which require proactive planning, support to improve the current internal processes and playing a key role to ensure an efficient service is provided to all employees.
Finally, the HRBP will have oversight of the DE&I strategy for the location/s, local employee working groups along with communications/engagement activity.

Tasks

  • Acts as a ‘trusted advisor’ responsible for coaching and advising on business HR matters and as a conduit between the business and the other services offered within HR – Group Talent, Recruitment, Marketing, Finance, Risk and Reward
  • Delivery of key HR initiatives including EVP, engagement, workforce planning, restructuring, resourcing, benefits, employee relations, DE&I and managing effective performance
  • Identifying HR priorities locally for departmental plans and translating business requirements
  • Manage complex employee relations issues from identification to effective resolution, to foster a positive employee relations climate including responding to employment tribunal claims and liaising with third party advisors as necessary
  • Partner with senior stakeholders and line managers to drive the execution of employee activity including new hires, transferees and terminations
  • Work closely with the Group Talent Team, participate and drive people development activities supporting performance management
  • Support line managers to reward and recognise good performance and support the annual pay review process
  • Work with Global and Local management to ensure we have a work force plan to fit business goals

Qualifications

Education / Professional Qualifications

  • Business degree or equivalent
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent

Background Experience

  • Extensive HR generalist, well developed HR technical expertise and coaching skills
  • Excellent influencing skills and the ability to adapt work style to work with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Ideally you will have some experience working in a HR Shared Centre/Off Shore environment
  • Ability to work at both operational and strategic level while influencing and collaborating at local and senior level
