Job Description
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with senior managers, providing support and acting as a critical friend to align their goals with the company’s objectives.
- Collaborate with senior managers to develop and execute a people agenda that closely supports the overall aims of the organisation.
- Lead and support various projects that drive the business agenda, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Provide expertise in organisational development and change management, adding value through strategic partnerships with business functions.
- Identify and address critical issues affecting business functions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Work with the wider HR team and business stakeholders to facilitate change and culture initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Editorial Unions.
- Partner with the Talent Centre of Excellence to identify training needs, develop, and deliver solutions, particularly around management capability.
- Drive the talent agenda for the business area, working closely with the Talent Centre of Excellence to develop and implement sustainable talent and succession plans.
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to sponsor and execute a cohesive talent acquisition strategy focused on attracting, retaining, and developing talent.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Progressive HR Thinker: Innovative and pragmatic approach to HR challenges.
- Business Acumen: Strong analytical skills with commercial savvy to manage change programs effectively.
- Influential Communicator: High-impact personality with excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
- Resilient and Proactive: Ability to manage multiple projects with a high degree of independence and motivation.
- Collaborative Team Player: Experience working with Shared Services and Centres of Excellence.
EXPERIENCE:
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships across the business.
- Extensive HR experience in progressively responsible roles.
- Experience working with a remote workforce and Unions.
- CIPD Level 7 or equivalent qualification (not essential)
