Description:

Overview:
An opportunity has arisen for a HR Business Partner to cover Maternity Leave for a 12-month contract. This position offers a high level of autonomy and variety to an individual with a proven track record in operational HR. This position forms part of the EMEA HR team, reporting to the Regional EMEA HR Director, supporting the workforce in Ireland and smaller additional countries, where needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage employee relations to ensure a highly effective workforce capable of achieving business goals and objectives while maintaining high ethical standards and legal compliance.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the wider HR team leading and implementing various projects for Ireland and additional countries supported.
  • Develop, implement and update local HR policies, processes and procedures, communicate all changes and updates in policies/procedures to employees, ensure compliance with Company global and local HR policies; ensure that corporate policies and practices conform to country and local standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of human resources policies, programs, laws, and issues to support sound, legal practices in support of the strategic direction of the business.
  • Support performance development process. Identify training needs and develop individual training plans, provide coaching and feedback on how to improve individual and organizational performance to meet business objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with management to provide advice and guidance on compensation and benefits and assist with salary and bonus administration.
  • Collaborates with the site leadership team to drive communication and engagement programmes on the Cork site and remotely.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced IT organization is desirable. Proven track record of championing Human Resources initiatives both at senior levels and throughout a global organization.
  • A strong generalist background with working knowledge of major Human Resources functions with an emphasis in, employee relations, training and development and relevant laws and regulations. Creativity, innovation and the ability to think “out-of-the-box” in problem-solving, diagnosis, and solution generation. Results oriented, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate, influence, negotiate, resolve conflicts, and effectively coach both managers and employees. Strong mentoring and coaching skills, sound business acumen and demonstrated ability to establish credibility, trust and partnership at all levels of the organization. High level of independence and initiative while working effectively as part of the team.
  • IT literate & able to quickly understand new Software packages
  • Qualifications in HR/Law beneficial.
  • EMEA experience and or knowledge of other countries HR practices and employment law would be advantageous, but not critical.
