DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Are you our new HR Business Partner for Global Operations? We are looking to hire a key resource who carries responsibility for the development and implementation of Orion’s people strategy in Global Operations. We are seeking a proactive and experienced HR Business Partner to join the dynamic Global Operations leadership team and Orion’s People & Culture -function. In this important role, you will act as both a strategic advisor and a hands-on partner, facilitating initiatives across the entire HR spectrum while carrying responsibility for the employee experience and employment lifecycle within Global Operations. Your expertise will help shape our workplace culture, ensuring alignment with our organizational goals and commitment to employee engagement and development.

DESCRIPTION OF UNIT

The People and Culture function is a newly formed entity that supports Orion’s business units in reaching their objectives through a well-executed people strategy that attracts and develops talent and culture in-line with Orion’s strategy. Our task is to create a consistent, inspiring employee experience and support organizational capability development globally. We execute our mission through high-quality HR services and processes with the support of world-class HR professionals.
Orion’s Global Operations spans the whole of the supply chain and production to EHS and operations development as well as externally sourced products. Our supply chain covers the entire pharmaceutical manufacturing process, from the sourcing of raw materials to the manufacturing of products, packaging and delivery to customers, wholesalers, subsidiaries and other pharmaceutical companies. All of Orion’s manufacturing sites are located in Finland: Espoo, Turku, Salo and Kuopio. We also have units in Mumbai, India and Shanghai, China.

REQUIREMENTS

To succeed as our new HR Business Partner, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in an HR business partner or generalist role, preferably in a global expert organization.
  • Strong understanding of the employment lifecycle, including resourcing, employee relations, performance management and coaching.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively and influence decision making at all levels of the organization.
  • Fluency in English

You are used to setting ambitious goals for yourself and your matrix team. You monitor and measure progress of individual and team targets and decisive action when goal achievement is threatened is second nature to you. You are experienced in working in a global matrix organization and you know exactly how to get the best result out of the teams you work with.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement people strategies that support the development of Global Operations.
  • Partner with leadership team to enhance workforce performance through coaching, performance management, and employee development.
  • Drive all global people processes within Global Operations carrying end-to-end ownership of the employment lifecycle.
  • Lead talent acquisition efforts to attract and retain top talent.
  • Advise and support managers on employee relations and HR issues.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations when needed.
  • Analyze trends and metrics to inform organizational decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory concerns regarding employment practices.
  • Lead matrix team of HR operations colleagues to create the needed HR service for Global Operations globally.
    You will report to the SVP, People & Culture and in matrix to the SVP, Global Operations. You can be based in Espoo or Turku/Salo as the main Global Operations locations in Finland.
