Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is a 12 month-fixed term contract to cover Parental Leave. In this role, you will provide business-focused HR advice and services that align to the organisational objectives at both the strategic and operational level. Act as a consultant to management on all employee relation issues and support the Head of People & Culture with employee development initiatives, organisational design and development.
You will also act as a change agent by assessing and anticipating HR related needs and developing solutions that are aligned with the overall business strategy.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent level of experience across required areas of expertise
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated expertise in the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards
- Proven proficiency in project management, strategic planning, and organizational abilities, adept at handling multiple priorities
- A proactive, client-centric, and professional approach, skilled in influencing and negotiating favourable outcomes across diverse backgrounds
- Demonstrated commitment to collaborative teamwork
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills at a professional level
- Effective collaboration and cooperation to achieve shared goals
- Strong problem-solving acumen, adept at influencing and negotiating solutions

Responsibilities:
- Achieve HR deliverables and continuous improvement projects, in line with operational plans and budget requirements
- Ensure all activities comply with the relevant Acts, legal demands and ethical standards
- Develop effective and cooperative relationships with management and employees
- Advise, influence, facilitate implementation and integration of people initiatives and people management issues to enable achievement of business objectives
- Provide coaching and advice to management on a variety of people issues regarding personnel practices, policy and employment laws
- Proactive delivery of advice on a broad range of ER matters, providing subject matter expertise on strategy, policy and practice
- Undertake a range of HR/ER services and projects including performance management, counselling and dispute resolution, management coaching/support and advice, change management and communication, rehabilitation and positions descriptions
- Ensure all the steps for on-boarding new starters and off-boarding existing employees has been completed
- Maintain SA’s HRIS (Employment Hero) to ensure accuracy
- Support the maintenance of company policies and procedures
- Anticipate, analyse and interpret HR/ER issues impacting SA
- Lead by example to support SA’s iCARE values (Integrity, Courage, Accountability, Respect, Excellence)
