Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
The role of the HR Business Partner is to work with stakeholders to identify needs to achieve strategic objectives through internal changes to organizational capabilities, including changes to policies, processes and information systems information systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Equivalent combination of education and experience in employee relations with CHRP/CRIA designation or advanced degree preferred ;
- 5 to 10 years of progressive HR experience with demonstrated knowledge in labor relations and partner relationship management;
- Must be strategic, have a strong professional presence and possess strong planning and organizational skills;
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, demonstrating strong consultation, partnership, communication, influence and negotiation skills;
- Experience in change management, an asset;
- High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information;
- Superior written and verbal communication skills in French and English;
- Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, required;
- Strong analytical skills and proven problem-solving ability;
- Experience with HR systems, preferably HR SAP
- Exceptional commitment to customer service and a strong sense of urgency;
- Highly motivated, self-starter;
- Must be able to travel occasionally to other locations.
Responsibilities:
- Work in partnership with operations partners to foster proactive relationships with employees and workers;
- Support the execution and deployment of HR programs and processes and participate in coaching and guidance; in functional and cross-functional initiatives (performance management, compensation, succession planning, engagement and performance survey) succession planning, engagement survey and performance appraisal cycle);
- Provide advice, guidance and counsel to partners on employment-related issues, including, but not limited to, interpretation of the collective agreement and company policies and procedures, absenteeism management, recruitment and selection strategy, performance management, terminations, strategic planning, and training and development;
- Promote a safe and healthy environment and support the management of CNESST, STD and LTD cases and return-to-work programs;
- Anticipate barriers to success and facilitate proactive resolution that supports a performance-driven culture;
- Uses sound human resources judgment and practical experience to escalate issues as required;
- Contributes to continuous improvement and best practices to influence human resources strategies;
- Ensures that the interests of employees and the company are taken into account in accordance with the collective agreement, HR policies and applicable government legislation;
- Demonstrate and live our corporate values in day-to-day decisions.
