Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a true generalist HR position responsible for business partnering and reporting to ensure alignment with the strategic plan, organisational culture and evolving needs of the Commercial Operation. The role is primarily responsible for alignment between human resources and business needs and the delivery of organisation’s employee and volunteer relations policies, processes and procedures.
This role is both a consultant and coach to the lines of business across the Commercial Team and will work closely with shared service teams including Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Diversity and Inclusion and other SVDP shared services functions in order to create effective and lasting solutions and best practices to better attract, develop, motivate, and retain the most valuable asset– its employees, volunteers and members.
This roles portfolio captures all of our Vinnies stores and our sorting centres across the state which are supported by both employees and our volunteers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will bring your knowledge and experience that includes ability to understand and interpret industrial awards and a working knowledge of the Fair work Act; knowledge of ER procedures; negotiation skills and effective early intervention in conflict resolution; ability to coach and mentor internal clients; and strong change management exposure in your previous roles.

As a trusted HR Partner you will:

  • Develop strong relationship building skills with key stakeholders and drive a high-performance culture which is supported by coaching, ensuring activities are performed in a fair and equitable manner and in compliance with legislative requirement
  • Have strong employee relation knowledge and resolution skills
  • Have an in-depth understanding and intepretation of the Retail, Warehouse and Logistics and Road Transport and Distribution Award
  • Bring time management and project management skills to your role
  • Have outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Have trong analytical and reporting capabilities.
  • Be innovative and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Effective judgment and decision-making ability
