UC HEALTH IS HIRING A FULL TIME HR CAREER DEVELOPMENT PARTNER, RN

The HR Career Development Partner, RN will work in collaboration with nursing leadership, human resources, and talent acquisition on strategic nursing related workforce, retention strategies, developing pipelines, nursing recruitment, and nursing career pathway programs. The consultant will use their nursing clinical expertise to provide strategies to increase retention, nursing candidate recruitment, and clinical pathways. The Nursing Workforce Consultant will participate in career fairs to interact/meet nursing candidates. The consultant will provide interventions to assist in matching applicants to accurate nursing positions that match the candidates interest and skill level. The consultant will be accountable for working with our talent acquisition partners to work with potential hires. This consultant will also act as an internal and external workforce liaison and resource in the areas of job seeking skills, career pathways, creative design of educational programs and workshops, and practical application of workforce development ideas. The consultant will assist in developing, implementing, and sustaining retention program initiatives aimed at attracting and retaining nursing talent.

DESIGNS, DEVELOPS, IMPLEMENTS AND OVERSEE ORGANIZATIONAL HEALTH CARE EDUCATION COHORT PROGRAMS

Coordinate educational cohort programs. Acts as a liaison with educational partners and internal nursing leadership, partners, monitoring and communicating cohort applicants o Markets programs to employees. Prescreens applicants and conducts interviews. Coaches and supports employees on cohort process. Conflict resolution of issues that arise. Collaborate with tuition on invoices.

ACTS AS AN INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL NURSING AND HEALTHCARE RESOURCE IN THE AREAS OF JOB SEEKING SKILLS, CAREER PATHING, CREATIVE DESIGN OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND WORKSHOPS, PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT IDEAS, SPECIALIZED HEALTHCARE RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION, PRESENTATION MATERIALS, ETC.

Serve as liaison to the system leadership to review and research creative nursing related workforce solutions. Serve as a representative at local nursing school advisory councils. Workforce content expert to explore innovative programs (new healthcare programs, foreign workers, diversity, etc.). Develops and gives presentations related to health care workforce trends, statistics, development, recruitment and strategies as needed to students and community partners as requested. Consultant for nurses regarding educational planning, job seeking, and career pathing as it relates to nursing. Conduct routine conversations with nurses whose retention may be at risk. Research new and/or improved solutions for filling health care workforce critical shortages. Collaborates with internal and external (grant, education, community, etc.) partners on creative and practical solutions to nursing workforce challenges. Continually monitors ongoing healthcare workforce programs for effectiveness and coordinates changes as appropriate. Key player to provide insights into nursing healthcare recruitment and retention strategies. Conduct focus groups to explore employee engagement results to uncover opportunities to improve the work environment and enhance retention rates. Round on the clinical cohort groups, Co-Op and role transition students with intent to recruit. Conducts weekly NCLEX review course to new graduates

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BSN, Minimum Required
  • MSN, Preferred
  • Licensed to practice in the State of Ohio, has valid certificate of authority Nursing in the area of clinical specialization, and a current valid certificate of authority issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing
  • Minimum Required: RN with a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a leadership or program management role, nursing recruitment, workforce development, education or any equivalent or combination of experience/training that provides the required knowledge
