POSITION SUMMARY:
Aunt Martha’s is a health and wellness not-for-profit organization serving over 105,000 children and adults throughout over 600 communities in Illinois. Through our Integrated Care Model, we provide primary and family health care, including behavioral health, pediatrics, family planning, parent support, and women’s health. We are also a licensed child welfare provider with foster care and intact family services. Our Integrated Care Center serves to stabilize DCFS involved youth and prepare them for long term placement.
Under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Human Resources (VP of HR), the Human Resources (HR) Compliance Specialist, is responsible for providing HRIS expertise and analytical reporting regarding regulatory and licensing requirements in accordance with agency, state and federal regulations. The HR Compliance Specialist is responsible for management and oversight of the organization’s programs/company policies, associated with employee adherence to mandatory health and safety mandates (including applicable legal requirements).
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of HRIS and/or compliance experience required.
- Extensive working knowledge/experience of federal and state employment laws is required.
- Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with all people, including those from diverse backgrounds.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Current driver’s license
Current auto insurance
HRIS experience strongly preferred
Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive and confidential information

Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of various HR project from conception to completion.
- Maintains knowledge of and enforces compliance in accordance with all laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law and human resources.
- Lead individuals responsible for management of the personnel records to ensure compliance with all agency and regulatory requirements.
- This individual will take the lead on all audit preparation and provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual reports and ad hoc reports.
- Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance with HR records retention to include I9s, background checks, personnel/medical files, EEOC, job classifications and etc.
- Conduct regularly scheduled HR due-diligent audits and leads HRIS process improvement initiatives.
- Serves as the first point of contact for EEO and IDHR matters and reporting. This individual will be responsible for gathering all documentation and coordinating with agency legal department to resolve any claims and/or issues.
- Acts as the main point of contact with external partners and vendors (i.e., DCFS, DHS, HFS, HRSA, JCAHO, and Sedgwick and etc.) regarding HRIS related matters, including clearances, audits, etc.
- Creates and/or updates agency/department policies, procedures and guidelines, as necessary.
- Completes core curriculum training(s) and all other required trainings, specific to this position.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
