Description:

Human Resources Coordinator completes day-to-day human resources activities for customer contract staffing requirements and collaborates in relevant National Development Centre initiatives.

EDUCATION

Minimum - Secondary School Diploma and completion of a recognized Human Resources diploma or degree program is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

A minimum of two years progressively responsible and varied human resources experience.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to handle difficult situations in an objective consistent format.
Exceptional organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; competency in keyboarding and Windows software;
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, human resource information systems and other HR related software.
Ability to operate all standard office equipment; commitment to continued learning.
Bilingualism in English and French (both written and spoken) is an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exemplary customer service as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from operations.
  • Manage Bayshore Medical Personnel Applicant Tracking System, faxes, emails and phone calls from external parties daily.
  • Administrate the Govt of Canada Security Clearance process for all new HCPs including completion of forms as required.
  • Facilitate timesheet training for HCPs
  • Create and/or update internal/external HCP job descriptions as needed.
  • Maintain/approve/post all internal and external job postings, specifically ensuring all postings have correct formatting and content.
  • Assist the Talent Acquisition Specialist(s) as needed. Activities may include: screening resumes, conducting telephone interviews, arrange interviews, completing reference checks, executing offer letters, preparing employment contracts, facilitating first day orientation etc.
  • Create and maintain Human Resources files for employees and Contractors of Bayshore Medical Personnel.
  • Facilitate HR programs, including but not limited to Performance Evaluations, Service Awards, Employee Satisfaction Surveys, Group RRSP applications, benefits administration and review.
  • Support the national BMP orientation, training and education programs.
  • Maintain current knowledge of provincial legislation relating to Employment Standards, Human Rights, Workplace Health & Safety, and Labour laws.
  • Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities.
  • Hire and screen HCPs according to Bayshore Medical Staffing recruitment and selection Assist with the recruitment and selection of Administrative employees as requested by the Operations Manager.
  • Prepare BMP photo identification cards for all HCPs
  • Handle all credentialing; verifying credentials of HCPs with the provincial professional Associations, maintaining up to date records, reminding HCPs of expiry dates and preparing Credentialing reports as required
  • Champion Bayshore Medical Staffing Concierge Service; assistance with travel, moving, real estate, schooling and day care, gym and spa locations for HCPs who are re-locating.
  • Maintain HCP human resources files such that all required documentation, including copies of current professional registration, licensing, security clearance, probationary and annual performance reviews, supervisory reports and continuing education documentation are included.
  • Maintain past HCP human resources files in conjunction with the immediate supervisor and ensure that final performance reviews and/or exit interviews are included.
  • Participate in or lead the Health and Safety Program as directed by the immediate supervisor.
  • Handle benefits-related inquiries and assist HCPs to complete forms.
  • Handle external requests for reference checks and verification of employment; refer difficult situations to the National Liaison and Operations Manager.
  • Manage Workers Compensation claims documentation including filing reports, follow-up activities; participate in the development of modified work programs as requested.
  • Maintain current knowledge of provincial legislation relating to Employment Standards, Human Rights, Workplace Health and Safety, and Labour laws; assist to handle real or suspected violations of legislated requirements.
  • Assist with discipline and counseling of employees as requested.
  • Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities
  • Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures.
  • Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company’s Quality Management System
  • Participate in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information and discuss same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel
  • Complete other tasks as requested
