The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the HR Department with the daily activities related to management of the employee lifecycle from onboarding, transfers, promotions, leaves and offboarding, creating and maintaining related electronic records and files, as well as answering general HR related inquiries.

What You’ll Do Here

  • Coordinate onboarding for new hires with various departments: session date, obtaining needed documentation from new hires and creating the employee file.
  • Conducting onboarding presentation to new hires on their first day.
  • Provide support and/or coordination to the HR team for processes related to a change of employee status e.g. job transfers, promotions, leave of absences, offboarding, etc.
  • Assist HR Business Partners with leave of absence and disability case management.
  • Maintain human resource information system (HRIS) records and update personnel files per internal processes.
  • Answers general queries from employees related to group benefits program, HR policies and employment confirmation letters.
  • Liaise where appropriate with other segment HR teams or other services such as payroll, IT, etc. to help answer inquiries and / or action effectively HR processes.
  • Contribute to employee recognition, wellness programs and social activities.
  • Coordinate probationary follow-up by managers.
  • Supports the offboarding process by coordinating collection of company property, conducting exit interviews, and processing termination paperwork.
  • Participate in internal and external audits by providing supporting documentations as needed.
  • Assist with various HR projects as required.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Degree in Human Resources or related field with relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 6 months experience in a similar position or 1 year of experience in another human resource related function.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills to interact in a tactful and respectful manner with various stakeholders.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as well as be comfortable presenting in a group setting.
  • Must be able to uphold confidentiality while handling sensitive personnel information.
  • Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality of records and documentation.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Familiarity with Workday as HRMS systems is an asset.
  • Bilingual, French and English, both written and oral in order to support managers, collaborate with colleagues located outside of Quebec.
