Hope Human Services has three locations in WA state: Lakewood (Corporate office), Vancouver, and Spokane. We are currently seeking an HR Coordinator for our Vancouver location.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource (HR) processes in the Vancouver office. This role administers employee onboarding, benefits enrollments, recruiting, and interviews. The coordinator works closely with the corporate office HR managers and local Regional Director to manage employee issues and investigations, workplace injury reporting, and leaves of absence. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Education or certification in Human Resources will be a plus
  • Minimum 1 year of human resources experience
  • Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Consistently report to work on time prepared to perform duties of position
  • Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, patience, and timely response to all requests
  • Embrace the diversity of our work force and community and treat others with respect without prejudice and bias
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication that is clear and well-organized
  • Computer literate; skilled in automated HR information systems, MS Word/Excel, and e-mail
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, plan, and manage workload and special projects.
  • Able to pass a criminal background check with the State of Washington and maintain clearance during tenure of employment
  • Valid driver’s license
